Veronika Nikishina Named Ease and Convenience for Exporters as Top Priorities in REC Operations
The team of the Russian Export Center (REC) will place maximum focus on the customer's interests with the main target being growth and diversification of Russian export. This was told by Veronika Nikishina, who took the office of CEO in REC on February 10, at the meeting with REC employees.
She added that to achieve the targets, concerted efforts by all institutions within the REC Group, such as EXIMBANK OF RUSSIA as a specialized export credit bank, EXIAR as an insurer and REC as an entry point for exporters and non-financial support center, are very important.
In turn, Alexey Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister, who coordinates the operations of the Russian Export Center JSC, noted that REC was at the forefront of interaction with the real sector of economy, exporters and those to be exporters in future. Alexey Overchuk told that he was keeping a close watch on the development of the One Contact information system and creation of the best conditions of access to export markets for Russian companies.
Andrey Slepnev, who has been heading REC until today, and who will now take up the position of a member (Minister) in the Trade Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, gave his opinion that the Russian Export Center was ready for the following stage in its development.
BACKGROUND

Veronika Olegovna Nikishina
Veronika Nikishina held senior positions in the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation being a Deputy Director in the Department of Trade Negotiations and heading the Department of American Countries and the Department of International Business Coordination, Development and Control.

With a record of 17 years of work in the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Veronika Nikishina has a vast experience in identification and removal of various trade barriers, implementation of trade protection measures, veterinary, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, as well as an extensive experience in holding international negotiations.

Before she was appointed a member of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, she held the office of an Assistant First Vice-Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.


Veronika Nikishina was appointed a member of the Trade Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (Minister) in February 2016. She was responsible for a number of key areas for the Eurasian Economic Union, such as customs tariff and non-tariff regulation, establishment of preferential trade conditions with third countries (Free Trade Zones), implementation of protective measures by the Eurasian Economic Union.

PhD in Economics, defended a thesis on Management of Access to Foreign Markets for Russian Goods in Modern Conditions.

The Russian Export Center JSC is a state-owned institution established by the Government to support the development of the non-resource export sector. REC provides Russian exporters with a wide range of financial and non-financial support tools. REC Group incorporates incorporates the Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investment Insurance (EXIAR) and Eximbank of Russia JSC. REC is a member of the VEB.RF Group.

The support tools include search for a foreign partner, exhibition activities, arrangement of b2b meetings, business missions, training programs in the REC Export School, analysis and research efforts for exporters, assistance in certification, patenting, advice on customs administration, participation in international projects.

REC customers include developers of innovative security systems and business solutions in IT sector, manufacturers of food products, toys, cosmetics, and large-scale industrial companies engaged in supply of aircraft, harvester, trucks.
